3) Increasing Public Bathrooms for People with IBD
The brief article I wrote about increasing public bathroom access for people with IBD went live on The Suburban Newspaper's website on December 10 2016. (I really wasn't expecting any author promo to be added, nor an old picture of me to be included.)

2) The Complications of Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Being on Remicade
I was diagnosed with a digestive illness called Ulcerative Colitis back in October of 2009, when I was 28 years old. At the time, I had never even heard of the illness, let a lone that it was chronic. I realized over the years that not many people were aware of its existence or how it affects a person living with it either. After many trips to the ER as well as a couple of hospitalizations and several medication trials, I finally found a drug that kept my symptoms under control for more than just a few months. Thanks to my regular Remicade infusions, I have been in remission for about three years. However, I have recently run into some complications and wanted to share my story.

1) Living With Colitis
The article I wrote about Colitis, based on my own experience, was published in the May 29 2013 edition of The Suburban Newspaper.

(Please note that in my article I mention my fictional novel "Hope" which is about a young woman living with Ulcerative Colitis. When I wrote the book, I was desperate to make people understand what it was like to have my digestive illness. But I have to
admit that my publishers at the time priced the book ridiculously high, and it's really not my best work. The book is really long, detailing each day of the patient which was highly based on my own past, and I now feel that the main character did not suffer enough since like me at the time her experience was only just beginning. She had it too easy despite her daily struggles.)
